Entry level registered nurse
Tempe, AZ, USA The daily actions of the staff demonstrate the vision and values of the organization. The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, patient education, and discharge planning. The RN provides nursing care to patients and their significant others using an interdisciplinary approach across the continuum of care. The RN uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for assigned patients from admission through discharge. The RN provides leadership in various roles that include, but are not limited to preceptor role, lead/charge nurse, and committee member. The American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for Nurses provide a basis for practice. All associate degree registered nurses with a start date after December 1, 2013, must provide documented evidence of program completion of their baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program within 6 years. Basic Qualifications: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Leadership, problem solving, verbal and written communication, and team building. Basic improvement concepts and techniques. Other Qualifications: Flexibility (Works flexible hours, which include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends). Basic computer skills. Bachelors degree preferred License or Certification: Active RN license or ability to practice professional nursing in the state. Current BLS Certification. Benefit Eligible: Yes Exemption Status: Non-exempt Hours/Pay Period: Half Time; 48 hours a pay period Schedule Details: Days and Evenings with occasional nights Weekend Schedule: 1 of 2 weekends Compensation Detail: Non-exempt = Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. Knowledge of Spanish is desirable.
